Theoretical Soft Matter Physics / Nikoubashman / Mainz
PhD position available at the Statistical Physics and Soft Matter Theory Group at the University of Mainz (Germany). The PhD position will be embedded in the Research Training Group GRK 2516 “Control of Structure Formation in Soft Matter at and through Interfaces” funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. The PhD candidate will develop and perform state of the art computer simulations of evaporating colloidal droplets, in close exchange with experimental collaborators at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research. The preferred starting date is the beginning of July.
Applicants must – hold a master’s degree, or approach its completion, in physics or chemistry (or a closely related discipline) – have outstanding grades – have excellent written and spoken English skills
