two PhD positions in the field of cold atoms (one th, one exp) / University of Trento
Subject: New Call for applications: Doctoral Programme in Physics XXXVII cycle – Univ. of Trento: deadline May 24, 2021 at 16:00 Date: Wed, 28 Apr 2021 16:53:07 +0200 From: Alessio Recati <firstname.lastname@example.org> To: Alessio Recati <email@example.com>
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
as you can read below we have recently opened the new PhD call at the Physics Department of Trento University. The call opens once per year.
In particular there are 2 fellowships (C and K in the list here <www.unitn.it/en/ateneo/1940/announcement-of-selection>) in the field of cold gases. Although the descriptions of the projects label the 2 fellowship as a theoretical one and an experimental one, we encourage interested candidates in working within the INO-CNR BEC Center to apply to both fellowships.
For more details the candidates can contact: Alessio Recati (firstname.lastname@example.org <mailto:email@example.com>) Gabriele Ferrari (firstname.lastname@example.org <mailto:email@example.com>)
Please feel free to distribute the present emails to everyone you believe can suit the call (not only concerning the quantum gases fellowships…).
the PhD Programme in Physics of the University of Trento supported by INFN, has opened the new call for applications (XXXVII cycle) <www.unitn.it/en/ateneo/1940/announcement-of-selection>, *deadline 24 May 2021 at 4:00 pm. 24 positions* (at present *21 with scholarship*) are available starting from *1 November 2021*.
The call is open to those who are interested to work in a dynamic environment which covers state-of-the-art topics in physics. The research topic proposals are described in the web page of the Doctoral Programme in Physics <www.unitn.it/drphys/en/573/research-topics-doctorate>.
The following local research institutions make available their research infrastructures and know how: *FBK <www.fbk.eu/>*__(CMM <cmm.fbk.eu/it>, ECT* <www.ectstar.eu/>); *CNR* (IBF <www.ibf.cnr.it/en/home_trento_en>, IFN <www.tn.ifn.cnr.it/>, IMEM <www.imem.cnr.it/>, INO-BEC <bec.science.unitn.it/>); *INFN (TIFPA). <www.tifpa.infn.it/>*
In addition there are research collaborations with an extended network of international institutions.
The salary of the PhD student, being fixed in Italy by national rules, is complemented locally by supports and benefits <www.unitn.it/en/servizi/1646/opportunities-for-phd-students>. Moreover, Trento is a small town with a very high quality of life. If you want more info, please visit www.unitn.it/en/servizi/1647/accommodation.
We really appreciate your help in diffusing this short notice to those students who can be interested. For more information please contact the Doctoral Programme secretariat at firstname.lastname@example.org <mailto:email@example.com> .
