Gabriel Amselem (2006) – Assistant professor
After the PCS Master in 2006, I went on to do a PhD in biophysics on cell migration at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organisation (Goettingen, Germany). The tools of statistical and nonlinear physics that I learnt during the Masters turned out to be extremely useful to develop a theoretical understanding of my experimental results. After two post-docs, at Harvard and at Ecole Polytechnique, both at the intersection between fluid mechanics and biology, I am now an assistant professor at LadHyX, Ecole Polytechnique, where I am specialising in microfluidics and biology.
